Title: Don't Leave
Pairing: ex Nate/Pappas (you'll see what I mean)
Summary: Alex needs a break. How does Nate handle it?
Disclaimer: I don’t own them, they own themselves. This never actually happened. Thank God.
No, don’t go, please don’t go. We need you. Finch needs you. I need you. Talk to me please? Why are you really leaving?
‘Pappas come on, please stay.’
‘Dude, whatever we did, we’re really sorry, just, don’t go, please.’
‘Pappas talk to us man. Why do you want to leave?’
It’s me, I know it’s my fault. I tried so hard to make you happy. But I was doing something wrong. What was it? If you would just talk to me, I can change I swear.
‘I’ll call you guys in a few weeks and let you know my final decision. Bye guys.’
It’s no use. You give the lady your ticket.
I can’t let you leave. I’m not going to lose you. I push my way through a crowd of people and I grab your arm. You look straight into my eyes and tears fall down your cheeks.
‘Alex…’ I manage to choke out, ‘I love you.’ You’re full out crying now.
‘Nate, as much as I love you, and I do…I,’ I’m crying now too. ‘I just can’t deal with this.’ You turn and get on the train and I’m left standing there, watching you leave.
I don’t know how long I’ve been sitting here, three, maybe four hours. I guess a part of me thinks you’re coming back.
‘Sir, do you need some help?’ I look up to see a lady in a uniform.
‘Uh, no, I’m fine, thanks.’ She looks at me doubtfully.
‘Are you sure? I mean, you’ve been sitting here since I started my shift nine hours ago.’
Has it really been that long?
‘Oh, yeah I’m fine really, I’m just waiting for someone.’ I force a smile. She smiles back and leaves.
I’m not fine. What am I doing here? I’m waiting for someone. Someone who’s not coming. You’re not coming back.
